Mark Renfandt

Mark Paul Renfandt was born on October 30, 1980 in Minot North Dakota to Randy and Paula Renfandt.

He passed away at his home in Glenwood Springs, Colorado on December 23, 2014.

Mark graduated from Minot High School with highest honors and delivered the graduation commencement address. In high school he was active in hockey, was a Thespian, a member of the Symphonic Choir, and the National Honor Society. He also worked part time in the family mechanical contracting business. After graduation, he attended the University of North Dakota where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. At UND he met his future wife, Missy Ketterling, and they moved to Phoenix, Arizona. There he was employed as a plumber and a budding entrepreneur, starting his first business, Renewvate. In 2007, Mark and Missy moved to Glenwood Springs, Colorado where he owned and operated HAPS Heating and Plumbing Specialists. He was proud to have followed in the footsteps of his grandfather and father, who both taught him a strong work ethic. In Glenwood Springs, he was a member of the Rotary Club. He sponsored a youth hockey team and played men’s hockey. He enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, rafting, four wheeling, boating, pickups, cars and anything to do with the Fighting Sioux or Winnebago.

Mark was a natural entertainer and a compassionate person with a big personality. His smile and charismatic personality could light up a room. He had the skill of pulling people together to share a laugh or two and could walk into a room of strangers and make ten new friends. The thing he liked best was being with and having fun with his family and many friends. He forged many lasting, special friendships with his loving and generous heart. Mark made all who knew him feel very special. He was deeply loved by many and will be sadly missed by all whose paths he crossed.
