Obituary: Virginia ‘Ginny’ Plyler

Virginia “Ginny” Ruth Plyler was born on August 8, 1924 in Saginaw, Michigan. She passed from this life to be with the angels in heaven on May 10, 2015. Ginny worked during World War II decoding messages and later worked for Buick Motor Company for 35 years. Ginny had an incredible personality, loved to laugh and had a deep faith in God.

She always had a smile on her face, a spunky attitude, and radiated beauty. She was married to Robert “Bob” Plyler who preceded her in death. Ginny leaves two daughters, Sherry Burton and Patti Shoemaker; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt) Elroy, Amanda (Steve) Fisk, and Carrie Shoemaker; and four great grandchildren, Timothy (Hannah), Andrew, and Benjamin Elroy.

She was buried at the Rifle Cemetery.

We ask that any memorial contributions be made to HopeWest Hospice, as their incredible support and comfort was so appreciated.
