“Red” Warren Dean Scarlett

It is with great sadness to announce that Warren Dean Scarlett, a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather left this world on February 3rd quietly at his home in Mesa, AZ. We are at peace, however, knowing that he is in his eternal home and free from pain or suffering.

Warren was born in Dennison, Kansas, and after proudly serving in the US Air Force in Germany moved to Aspen in 1958 with his loving wife Jan. In the early ’70s they moved to Glenwood Springs, CO, where they still reside for the summers. He was an active Mason, Order of the Eastern Star, a member of Glenwood’s First United Methodist Church and the Elks Lodge.

Warren was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Linda, and brothers Donald and Richard.

He is survived by his wife Janell; brothers Irvin and Dana; children Larry and Lori; grandchildren, Scarlet, Misti, William, Ashley, and Cody; and seven great-grandchildren that he adored.

A celebration of Warren’s life will be held this spring in Glenwood Springs. The family appreciates all of the outpouring of love and support that we have received from so many friends.
