Yvone M. Scheer

Yvone M. Scheer passed away with her family by her side on December 20, 2015.

Born on February 20, 1946, in Corpus Christi, TX, she had an incredible desire to serve others and an unbelievable personal strength.

Yvone married Walter Scheer on November 28, 1970. They experienced many great times together, but none more than the time they spent with their four grandchildren.

A longtime resident of the Glenwood Springs Valley, Yvone came to know and love many. She was known for her energy, passion and for the many roles and responsibilities she had as a mother. She enjoyed sharing her “world” famous cinnamon rolls and her craftiness with others. She was also an avid Broncos fan, which at times is difficult.

Yvone is immediately survived by her husband Walter, sons Brian and Scott (Tracey), and her four grandchildren Dawson, Trystan, Peytan and Riley. Her siblings include brothers and sisters Paul Cox, Nancy Hankins, Joan Dalrymple, Loren Mayfield, Darlene Aldrich and Carmen Kochevar.

A Celebration of Life and a short reception will take place at the Rifle Funeral Home on January 23, 2016, at 1:00 p.m.
