Businesses help out

In the past month the residents and staff at Glen Valley Care and Rehabilitation Center in Glenwood Springs have had a few instances where we relied on the assistance of a few of the local businesses. The people who work at those businesses were more than generous and did so without reservation. For that, we want to take this opportunity to thank them and to let others know how kind they were.As part of National Waffle Week in September, TCBY in Rifle donated waffle cones, and The Village Inn in Glenwood donated different kinds of syrup for a waffle lunch. We are in the process of remodeling our building, which is going along rather nicely, but we ended up without our kitchen for a day, so we had no way to serve hot meals to our residents. McDonald’s and Pizza Hut came to our rescue. McDonald’s donated lunch and Pizza Hut provided pizzas for a supper at a greatly reduced rate. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the change of menu, and now we have a beautiful new kitchen floor. These businesses didn’t have to do this, but they did. We appreciate that and want to say “Thanks” for being who you are.Sincerely, staff and residentsGlen Valley Care andRehabilitation Center Glen Valley Care andRehabilitation Center
