The New Castle Community Market takes place from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 23, in Burning Mountain Park in downtown New Castle. This week visitors will find sweet corn from Palisade, juicy peaches and lots of fresh produce from Juicy Acres; wonderful homemade pickles and relishes from Blazing K; everyone’s favorite, The Upper Crust Bakery, with sweet pastries, bread and cookies; and nice hot brats and pulled pork sandwiches from Crabtree Cafe. Our band this week is Fifty50, Roaring Fork Valley locals and recipients of many Locals’ Choice awards over the years. The acoustic side of Fifty50 is Dave Stoltzfus and Dale Loper on lead guitars and lead vocals with Beth Getzen Stoltzfus on lead vocals. The blend of the vocal harmonies is right for the spirit, heart and ear.
