Author Talk: Jonathan Waterman
Join us as Jonathan Waterman shares his career as a journalist, filmmaker, and explorer while providing details of thrilling adventures, spectacular images, and bear-encounter-mosquito-attack video footage. The topic discussed in Parachute will be “Journey Down the Colorado River,” and the topic in New Castle will be “An Adventurer’s Lessons in Conservation.” These presentations will take place on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. at the Parachute Branch Library; on Friday, Dec. 18 at 6 p.m. at the New Castle Branch Library. Teen Holiday Extravaganza
Attention all teens: join us at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on Saturday, Dec. 19 from 1 to 3 p.m. for a holiday extravaganza of food, fun, and games! Santa will be visiting the Rifle Branch Library on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 1 p.m. Come enjoy a special reading of the classic story “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” by Clement Clarke Moore and have a chance to visit with Santa to tell him your Christmas wishes! Gift Wrapping Party

Harry Potter Yule Ball
Harry Potter fans are invited to celebrate the end of the year with a Yule Ball at the Parachute Branch Library on Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 6 p.m. Music, crafts, games, food, trivia, magic and more to surprise and delight.
