The Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) is hosting a big game application assistance night from 3-7 p.m. Friday, March 30, at the DOW office, 50633 Highway 6 in West Glenwood. Extra staff will be on hand to assist individuals with completing big game hunting applications for the 2007 seasons.The deadline for big game limited license applications is Tuesday, April 3. DOW staff will assist with written applications, and will be providing computer terminals and assistance to complete on-line applications.Anyone interested in getting help or asking questions should bring the following items: photo Identification; proof of residency; hunter education card; credit card for online applications or check for mail-in applications; Social Security number (required under Colorado law); and a legal-sized envelope (for mail-in applications).If applying for someone who is not attending, bring the above information for those individuals as well.For questions or to get more information, contact the DOW office in Glenwood Springs at 947-2920 during regular business hours.

The Glenwood Springs Airport Cleanup Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 29. Any airport users should bring their own rakes, shovels, brooms, hammers and nails, paint brushes, work gloves, etc. The Airport Board will be sprucing up the FBO, taxiways and runway for the upcoming flying season. Members of the Living Building design movement are offering two free presentations in March on the topic of living buildings. The first session, Designing a Living Building, will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at Carbondale Town Hall.The second session, Applying Living Building Principles to the SCoR Campus, will be held from noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at Carbondale Town Hall.Call 963-9115 or 274-8206 for more information.
