Rock the Vote/Aspen, a nonpartisan organization, has arranged for Richard Medina to talk about the election in Spanish on Radio Evolucion on KDNK 88.1 or 88.5 at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2.

The Redstone Community Association will kick off its 2006-07 Winter Series program, at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, at the Redstone Church. The movie “Once Upon a Horse” will be shown. This recently completed film produced by local western artist and author Anita Witt contains interviews with some of the last of the old-time cowboys in the Roaring Fork Valley. This film, recently shown to sold-out audiences, is being offered to those who were unable to see it earlier. For more information, call 963-1372.

The town of Basalt invites the public to attend Basalt Talk. Chat with Mayor Leroy Duroux or a Town Council member during lunch.



Due to the election on Tuesday, Nov. 7, Basalt Talk for November is scheduled for noon Monday, Nov. 6. Meet at Basalt Town Hall.

A business workshop, titled “Business Valuation and Funding Sources,” will be presented from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the CMC Lappala Center in Carbondale. It is hosted by CMC, Vectra Bank and US Bank. Continuing education credits are available. The workshop is being presented by Robert Minor, Business World Brokers.
