Komen Aspen, in conjunction with Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, will be holding education outreach programs from 1:30-2:30 p.m. after the Spanish Masses today at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in Basalt; and from 7-8 p.m. today at St. Mary of the Crown in Carbondale. Event coordinators are looking for Spanish-speaking volunteers. To volunteer, call Claudia Curry Hill, executive director at Komen Aspen, 920-0250, or e-mail claudia.komenaspen@yahoo. com.

Professionals from Valley View Hospital will consult women who attend the event about breast health and give coupons for free mammograms to those who qualify. To qualify, women must be over 40 and be underinsured or uninsured.

The Glenwood Springs and Rifle Workforce Centers are sponsoring a free roundtable: “Unemployment Insurance: the How, What and Save,” covering information on unemployment insurance tax and unemployment insurance benefits. Who should attend? Human resource professionals, business owners, hiring and staffing managers, and accounting personnel. It will be held from 1:30-3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, at CMC, 1402 Blake Ave., Glenwood Springs. Please register in advance by calling 945-8638.



The Garfield County Republican Party will celebrate election night, Tuesday Nov. 7, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Buffalo Valley Inn in Glenwood Springs. Please vote and then join the party, all are welcome.
