Gonzalez Counseling will present the Responsible Living in the Community WorkShop, an informative/ educational/counseling seminar for immigrants in the valley from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Gonzalez Counseling Bilingual Services, 1432 Grand Ave. in Glenwood Springs.

Guest speakers are Sgt. Jose Chavira with Basalt Police; Tom Ziemann with Catholic Charities; Tony Arguello, attorney at law; Rio Vista Services; and Johnny Gonzalez, director of Gonzalez Counseling Services.

Cub Scout Pack 225 will hold its annual cake auction at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at the First United Methodist Church, 824 Cooper Ave. in Glenwood Springs. Whimsical cakes made by local cub scouts will be auctioned and sold to the highest bidder. All proceeds will benefit Pack 225 activities and camping trips. Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Rifle will hold its annual holiday bazaar from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the church, 652 E. Fifth St. Shop for holiday treasures and visit the bakeshop for tasty delights. “Soup-in-a-loaf” served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
