Anyone interested in planning for retirement may attend an Edward Jones Investing in Action Program, Perception vs. Reality: How to Stay Focused on What Matters, to be held at 10:30 a.m., 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, in the Riverside Professional Building, 2700 Gilstrap Court, Suite 170, Glenwood Springs. This interactive event is presented at select Edward Jones branch offices nationwide via the firms private video network.Seating is limited, please RSVP by calling 928-7145.

The West Garfield County Landfill in Rifle will be closed Monday, Jan. 1, to observe New Years Day, and will reopen at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2. Regular hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
