Rifle High Schools class of 1967 is planning a reunion June 16 and 17 at Rifle Gap. Ceramic artist Joe Brecha of Clay Art Center in Tacoma, Wash., will present his techniques April 5-8. A specialist in terra sigillata and special firing techniques, Joe will lead participants in the hands-on preparation and use of terra sigillata. This workshop will also focus on two different firing techniques utilizing the unique qualities of terra sigillata: foil sagger and naked raku. Participants will love the results.
