The Glenwood Downtown Market starts off the Fourth of July celebration at 4 p.m. Tuesday, with music from The New Crystal Consort, followed by a street dance with Cole Campbell and Rattlebone from 5:30-9 p.m. at Centennial Park, at Ninth Street and Grand Avenue. Preschool storytime at the Rifle Branch Library will be canceled July 4-5 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The library will be closed July 4 and resume regular hours July 5.

Friends of the Missouri Heights Schoolhouse are hosting an annual potluck dinner from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, July 8, at the Missouri Heights Schoolhouse, 498 102 Road, featuring music, entertainment, food and the chance to get to know your neighbors. The next community conversation meeting with the Department of Justice has been scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at the Garfield Re-2 Learning Opportunities Center in Rifle. Refreshments will be served.
