All artists interested in entering the Glenwood Springs 2007 Fall Art Festival who were not sent a registration form may pick one up at the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association; the Artist Mercantile; the Main Street Gallery; other chambers, art stores and galleries throughout the valley; by mail at P.O. Box 64, Glenwood Springs, CO 81602; by calling Portia Griefenberg, 945-0393; or by e-mailing The form and payment are due no later than Aug. 23. No late registration will be accepted.

The Roaring Fork Chapter of the Colorado Archaeology Society will have its annual potluck picnic at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at Veltus Park. Burgers will be provided. The Missouri Heights Schoolhouse is available for parties, weddings, reunions, classes, meetings, etc. For rental information, please call Anita at 963-2180 or Stephanie at 963-7447.

The Sunlight Volunteer Ski Patrol will be offering its outdoor emergency care course starting Wednesday, Aug. 29. This course is a requirement if you are planning to join ski patrol or search and rescue. This course trains students on first aid for the outdoor environment. The class will be held from 6:30-9:30 Wednesdays and from 5-8 Sundays. Please contact Marguerite Flett at 945-5833 for more information and to reserve a space in the class.
