The Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association, the city of Glenwood Springs and Bighorn Toyota present the Friday Night Flicks finale film and party celebrating Grease by Paramount Pictures at Two Rivers amphitheater Aug. 24. Get out the saddle shoes and hair grease for the Hopelessly Devoted Costume Contest. Prizes will be awarded for best female, best male, best kids costume and best group.Regulars on Thunder Road will enjoy the Summer Nights Classic Car Show at 6 p.m. Prizes awarded for Peoples Choice and second and third place. The Carbondale Chamber is seeking board nominations for 2008. Please submit your name for two-year board positions, effective Jan. 1, 2008. Basalt High School Booster Club will be hosting its annual Spaghetti Supper from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, on Back to School Night.Dinner will be served in the Basalt High School cafeteria. Proceeds benefit the many athletic programs at BHS.Bring the whole family and enjoy a delicious meal while supporting the school.

The town of Carbondale is sponsoring the third annual Mountain Madness Skateboard Competition Aug. 25 at the Carbondale Skate Park. The competition will include intermediate, advanced and sponsored levels. For a small registration fee, contestants will receive a free T-shirt and a chance to win tons of prizes.
