Communities in Motion and Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) are celebrating the opening of the new park-and-ride facility in Carbondale at the corner of Highway 133 and Village Road, at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, with a free barbecue lunch and an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m.Communities in Motion, a valleywide partnership between RFTA, the city of Aspen, and the town of Snowmass Village, promotes alternative transportation in the Roaring Fork Valley.
