Energy Day at Yampah Mountain High School will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at the high school in Glenwood Springs.The public is invited to attend any/all of four sessions and a variety of presentations with a focus on energy, the impacts of extraction, use and how to mitigate or lessen impacts. The 24th annual Emma Schoolhouse Holiday Bazaar will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the historic Emma Schoolhouse off Highway 82 just west of Basalt. The Salvation Army presents its next free workshop, Wellness from Within simple, inexpensive steps for improving your health, featuring Kenneth Davis, PA-C, of Mountain Family Health Centers, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Glenwood Springs Community Center.Free health screenings will be offered on site, including cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar levels, body mass index, and Framingham risk assessment. The Hot Springs Pool will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 13-14.
