Glenwood Springs Parks & Recreation invites you to a free afternoon from noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Glenwood Springs Community Center. Join us for bingo, live music, fitness classes, educational forums, gym games, castle bounce, climbing wall, kidkare, swimming, dance classes and more. Get certified in Basic First Aid and CPR on adults, children and infants at a class held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 15 at Carbondales Town Hall. The Practical First Aid & CPR for Parents class focuses on CPR and first aid for infants and children. Skills that will be practiced include: how to save choking infants and children, opening airways, maintaining vitals, and caring for wounds. This course doesnt certify people in first aid and CPR, but is a great tool to have if you have little ones running around. For more information on both these classes, call Becky at 704-4116.
