Rocky Mountain PBS KRMA Channel 6 will broadcast the The Last of the Cowboys in the Roaring Fork Valley DVD by Anita Witt at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20.The DVD is available at local bookstores and the UPS Store in El Jebel.

The 19th annual Glenwood Springs Post Independent/Garfield County Humanitarian Service Awards will be held Jan. 28 at the Hotel Colorado.Nomination forms for outstanding Garfield County residents are now being published in the Post Independent. Anyone from Garfield County may nominate anyone who lives in Garfield County. Categories are youth, senior, volunteer and staff. Completed nominations must be received via e-mail by 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4. E-mail your nominations to kvasilakis@postindependent.com. Late nominations cannot be considered.If you cannot e-mail the nomination, call 384-9118, and arrangements will be made.The reservation deadline for the dinner is Jan. 24. Call Ronda at 384-2357 anytime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday only. Nominees are the guests of the event and receive a complimentary dinner. Everyone else is required to pay for their own dinners. This event is not a fundraiser for any organization.
