Basalt Chambers Business After Hours will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Fleisher Home in Basalt. Fleisher Home and The Buddy Program will co-host. Contact Karen Connington at 927-4031 or info@basaltchamber.com.

A benefit showing of the movie musical Paint Your Wagon, starring Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at Basalt Middle School Theatre for the whole community. All proceeds will go towards the Kate Keenan Art Scholarship, awarded each year to a graduating senior to help continue his or her studies in the arts. The event is free (donations graciously accepted) and music, concessions and a silent auction for gift certificates to favorite local restaurants and stores will be available.

A free information session describing the revised Common Grant Application will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. May 15 at the Glenwood Springs Community Center Glenwood Springs. A committee of Colorado funders and nonprofits announced the release of a new revision to Colorados CGA April 1. The CGA saves nonprofits the time and effort of creating different applications for multiple funders, while allowing grantmakers and grantseekers to work from a common set of questions that reinforces solid nonprofit practices.Advanced registration is required at http://www.jvaconsulting.com.
