The Own Your C (Own Your Choices) street team will visit the Rifle Rolling Rendezvous to encourage youth to make healthy, smart choices. Developed by the State Tobacco Education & Prevention Partnership (STEPP) in partnership with Cactus Marketing Communications, Own Your C is a campaign to empower youth to make educated choices and encourage them to recognize the consequences of their choices. The Own Your C street team distributes tobacco quitting materials and educates students about the opportunity to enroll in FixNixer (www.fixnixer.com), a quitting program using online and text messaging technology to help quit tobacco anonymously. Rifle Animal Shelter is teaming up with Valley Veterinarian Clinic for a low-cost vaccination clinic from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at the Rifle Animal Shelter. For questions, contact Heather at 625-8808.
