Teens are invited to celebrate the end of the school year with game night from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. Test your skills at Guitar Hero, play some cards or board games with friends and vote for the best tasting pizza from a variety of local restaurants. Admission is free and open to all teens. Thunder River Theatre Company is now enrolling students for its 2008 Summer Drama Camp, with three sessions, two weeks long. Enroll children in any one of three sessions, or in all three. Discounts available for more than one session. The 2008 Strawberry Days Carnival, sponsored by American Furniture Warehouse and Radio La Tricolor, will be bigger and better with many new rides. The carnival takes place at the American Furniture Warehouse parking lot June 19-22. All-access discount passes are available at Safeway, Watersweeper & the Dwarf, The Silver Bead and the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association. Carnival parking is very limited, and people are encouraged to ride the free Glenwood buses, which pick up at Glenwood Springs High School and drop off at the carnival. The Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork will host a play group for parents and children from 9:30-11:30 a.m. every Wednesday in June. The play group will be hosted by early childhood educators and will include organized and free play.The Waldorf School will host a free childrens hour from 2-3:30 p.m. Friday, June 6, in the Kinderhaus. Children up to age 5 and their parents will enjoy free play, snack, craft time, and The Magic Pot, a puppet play.The Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork is an independent pre-k through eighth-grade school. Snowmass Village T-ball for ages 5 and 6 will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 10 to July 3. Call 922-2240 or check online at http://www.snowmassrecreation.com for more details. Must preregister by June 6 deadline.
