An ATV/dirt bike poker run will be held Aug. 23 in DeBeque. Registration is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in downtown DeBeque. Cash is awarded to the top five poker hands. This summers Hidden Gems Hike Series will conclude in the Roaring Fork Valley with a free guided hike to Red Table Mountain Sunday, Aug. 24. The moderately difficult hike will begin near Crooked Creek Pass and ascend the eastern end of Red Table, providing spectacular views of the Holy Cross Wilderness. The Teen Book Club at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library will be discussing Khaled Hosseinis book, The Kite Runner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28.
