Byron Turners work is currently being displayed at Pattis Main St. Coffee House in New Castle for the entire month of September. The artist reception will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 22 at the coffeehouse located at 219 W. Main St. in downtown New Castle.Turners images currently being displayed are a group of photographs that examine old cars and trucks and how time and the surrounding elements have affected them.

The Sunlight Ski Patrol announces the beginning of the annual Outdoor Emergency Care class at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays; and at 5 p.m. Sundays at Sopris Elementary School. Thunder River Theatre Company will conduct auditions at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, for its upcoming production of On Golden Pond. Needed are three male actors: two men between 40 and 50, and one teenage actor between 13 and 18 years of age to play a 13-year-old boy. Rehearsals begin in mid-October. The production opens Dec. 4 and runs through Dec. 20. For further information or to make an audition appointment, please call 963-8200.
