The second annual Carbondale Fall Folly fundraising dinner for the Carbondale Community Food Co-op, set for Nov. 9 from 6-9 p.m., is fast approaching. The deadline for signing up is mid-day on Tuesday, Nov. 4.This years dinner is at Ella, and will feature locally grown food and drink paired by the restaurants expert staff. There will also be music by Acoustic Mayhem and door prizes that include a one-night stay in Aspen.Donations of $75 gain entry for members of the co-op, and $100 is the donation requested from nonmembers. Pattis Main Street Coffee House in New Castle is featuring a different artist every month. In November, the unique works of Winnie Johnson and Jacquetta Green will be on display. Meet these two local artists at the opening from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7. Johnson will be displaying her plaster-on-canvas, and Green will be showing her oil-on-canvas art.

Ladies, you can bring friends, husbands, boyfriends, neighbors all are invited from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at the Glenwood Springs Community Center. Les Mergelman of Cedaredge will share the thrill of the out west wagontrain tail and round up.
