New Hopeful Heart, a nonprofit organization benefitting people in recovery from mental health issues, is taking food donations of nonparishables and canned goods for the less fortunate, and also for baskets which will be given away for the holidays. Please drop off donations from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays at 1217 Howard Ave., behind the Garfield County Fairgrounds next to Rich’s Upholstery in Rifle. The students of Glenwood Springs Middle School cordially invites veterans and the public to attend a veterans’ celebration at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, in the GSMS gymnasium.
