Teens and tweens ages 8- 14 are welcome to join a free puppet workshop from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at the Glenwood Springs Library. Create puppets, write skits or select scripts, and help perform a future puppet show for preschoolers. Materials will be provided.For more information, contact 945-5958.

The town of Carbondale is again sponsoring its annual Christmas Tree recycling for town residents from Friday, Dec. 26, until Sunday, Jan. 18, in the parking lot on the northeast corner of Colorado Avenue and Fourth Street, across from Carbondale Town Hall. All decorations must be removed from trees no ornaments, tinsel, garland, tree stands, wires, lights, plastic bags, screws or nails of any kind. Also, no flocked or artificial trees, and no roping, garlands or wreaths are accepted. For more information, call 963-1307.
