Tickets are now on sale for Symphony Swing, the Symphony in the Valleys gala to benefit the community orchestra.The gala events feature the full orchestra and the Symphony in the Valley Jazz Ensemble playing the top tunes from the Big Band era, with a variety of guest vocalists, including Jeannie Walla, Debbie Dawson and the ensemble Mixed Emotion.Symphony Swing will be presented at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at the Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs and at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 8, at Grand Valley High School in Parachute.The Glenwood Springs event is a swanky dinner dance, with a full-course meal and a cash bar in the Devereux Room at the Hotel Colorado. A lodging package that includes tickets for the dinner dance and a one-night stay at the Hotel Colorado is also available.The Parachute event will be more casual, with light refreshments, bistro-style table seating and dancing in the auditorium-cafeteria at Grand Valley High School. A live auction will be held between the two music sets at both events. Seating is limited for both events, and tickets are now available.
