The Roaring Fork Chapter of the Colorado Archaeology Society will meet on Monday, May 18, at 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 1016 Cooper Avenue, Glenwood Springs. The public is invited to attend. The program will be true stories of the wars with Native Americans in a video titled The Great Indian Wars, 1840-1890. For information, call Cynthia at 524-7981.

The Two Rivers Park parking lot will be closed to public access on May 19, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a chip seal application. Closure will occur again on May 21 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for sweeping and again on May 22 for an asphalt application. All closures are weather dependent. Access to the boat ramp will be accommodated. The grounds of 135 Main St. in downtown Carbondale will transform for this springtime extravaganza at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 30. Proceeds from Carbondale Clay Centers largest fundraiser of the year support the Centers year-round ceramic arts programming. Adult ticket buyers receive one of the beautiful, handmade cups designed by local ceramic artists, specifically for La Dolce Vita.Stay tuned for more information.
