Carbondale Acupuncture Center is hosting an open house in celebration of its fifth anniversary in downtown Carbondale, from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday, June 5, in conjunction with Carbondales First Fridays activities.All customers past, present and future are invited to join in celebrating five years of health and wellness. Carbondale Acupuncture Center is located at 54 Weant Blvd., next to Sopris Park. Appetizers and wine will be served and door prizes will be awarded for free acupuncture and massage treatments. The Glenwood Springs Elks Lodge 2286 holds its annual yard sale from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 6. All proceeds will go to the Disabled Veterans Sports Program. Donations for the sale will be accepted at the Elks Lodge, 51939 Highway 6, on Friday. For more information, call 945-2286.

The Colorado Rocky Mountain School Class of 2009 graduation ceremony takes place at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 6, on the lawn outside the barn on the CRMS campus, 1493 County Road 106 in Carbondale. The event is open to the public.Head of School Jeff Leahy will present the schools traditional leather diplomas to 41 boarding and day seniors, and announce the senior academic and community awards as voted on by faculty.All of the CRMS seniors have been accepted to college, matriculating to schools as diverse as St. Lawrence University, Bowdoin College and Montana State University to University of Oregon, University of Colorado and Savannah College of Art & Design.
