U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet’s office said the senator’s “Fighting for Colorado Families” Town Hall Meeting at Edwards, about an hour east of Glenwood Springs, will be held at the Berry Creek Middle School, 1000 Miller Ranch Road in Edwards, not at Colorado Mountain College as previously scheduled.

Dale and Elena Harris of New Castle, along with Dale’s three siblings – Vickie Day, Brenda Gustafson and Ron Harris – are hosting an open house at the Harris home located at 0144 Pear Court, to celebrate the birthday of Dale’s mother, Maxine (Mickey) Harris. The open house will be from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15. No gift necessary; however, Maxine does like cards, and loves to read used books.Family and friends are welcome to attend.

A wine and food tasting fundraiser for the Rotary Scholarship program that benefits Glenwood Springs High School seniors with financial needs will be held Thursday, Aug. 27, at The Rotary House at Four Mile Ranch at 6 p.m.There will be wine and food tasting, cooking demonstration and sampling of the foods.
