Glenwood Church of Christ Children age 4 through fifth-grade are invited to this years fiesta-themed Vacation Bible School at Glenwood Church of Christ, 260 Soccer Field Road, behind the middle school. The fun happens from 9 a.m. to noon July10-13. Parents are included in a meal and closing program on Thursday evening. All are welcome. For more information, please call 309-4043.

The Roaring Fork High School Rams football team will be washing cars/vans/trucks at 11 a.m. today in the Alpine Bank parking lot on Highway 133 in Carbondale to raise money for those going to Manning Passing Academy football camp in Louisiana. Donations are being accepted to help fund travel expenses. Please come by and help support the 2006 team and drive away with a clean, shiny vehicle.For information, call Mike Brinson at 963-3468.

The town of Basalt welcomes three elected officials for a town social from 4-5 p.m. today in the Lions Park at the Basalt Town Hall. The following fundraiser will be located at the Toklat Gallery in downtown Basalt on Midland Avenue. Congressman John Salazar will discuss national issues pending before Congress. There will also be an opportunity to speak with State Rep. Kathleen Curry of Gunnison regarding our most recent state legislative session. Gail Schwartz, Colorado University Regent and local Snowmass resident, will provide an update on the University of Colorado and discuss her current race for state Senate.
