Jeff Pinkal, of Denver, and Kelley Couch, of Colorado Springs, celebrated Easter in Glenwood Springs. They had an Easter egg hunt of their very own in their hotel room Easter morning. Pinkal left notes and chocolates for Couch in the plastic eggs he planted around the room. The last egg had an engagement ring in it. The two met when Pinkal’s grandmother and Couch’s mother, who knew each other from church, set them up on a blind date. Jeff and Kelley don’t have a wedding date set yet, but will marry sometime next year.Seth Wettlin becomes an Eagle ScoutSince he was 9 years old, Seth Wettlin has had just one wish – to become an Eagle Scout. On Sunday afternoon, April 3, he will get his wish. Seth, now 18, of Troop 221 in New Castle, will be honored at a special Eagle Scout ceremony at 4 p.m. at the Rifle Mountain Park community house. To earn Scouting’s highest award, Seth was required to earn at least 21 merit badges, serve as a leader of his troop, and complete a major community service project.Seth has also served as a Safe School Ambassador at Rifle High School for the past three years.Russo enlists in NavyCivilian Josh M. Russo, son of Regina Fellows, of Thornton, and Mark Russo, of Glenwood Springs, recently enlisted in the United States Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at the Navy Recruiting District in Denver. Russo will report for active duty to undergo basic training at the Navy’s Recruit Training Center in Great Lakes, Ill. Russo is a 2002 graduate of Glenwood Springs High School.
