Easter happenings

The town of Carbondale Annual Easter Egg Hunt for ages 1-8 will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Sopris Park. This is a free event that includes a special visit from the Easter Bunny. Age groups will be divided up in the park. Children can register for prize drawings beginning at 9:30 a.m. Children will need to bring a basket for collecting eggs.

Please be prompt, the hunt only lasts a few minutes.

The Rifle Lions Club 74th Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Deerfield Park.

Age groups: Children aged 3 and under, 4-6 and 7-9.

The Easter Egg Hunt on the top of Iron Mountain at the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park will be held promptly at 2 p.m., so please plan to arrive at the top of the tram by 1:30 p.m. One golden egg will contain four annual membership passes. The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance.

The Silt Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 15, in Veteran’s Park for children 10 and under.

Easter Celebration for Christ Community Church will be held 10 a.m. Sunday, March 23. Location: 20351 Highway 82, Basalt. 970-927-3889; http://www.cccbasalt.com.

The New Castle 26th annual Easter Egg Hunt will start at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, in any kind of weather, at Riverside Middle School. The event is designed for ages toddler to 12 years. Come shake hands with the Easter Bunny. Bring your Easter basket or bag.
