Glenwood business leaders go to state

On Monday, April 19, 23 Glenwood Springs High School Future Business Leaders of America attended their state conference in Vail. Approximately 450 members from throughout the state competed in each event. Top 10 finishers from GSHS are:

– 4th place: Amber Cunningham and Amanda Whiting: Emerging Business Issues

– 10th place: Siam Luu: Job Interview

– 2nd place: Thomas Hays: Networking Concepts

– 3rd place: Eric Whiting, Drew Matson and Alex Kurz: Web site Development

– 3rd place: Jacob Ziemann: Mr. FBLA

Abby Willman, state vice president for District 9, and Jacob Ziemann, state reporter, said their farewells to state FBLA as they completed their officer terms.

The students attended motivational and leadership speeches and seminars at the Vail Cascade and Marriott Hotels as well as competed in their own individual events.
