Whenever we have a family of a child with disabilities whose needs we are not able to fully meet, we are able to assist them with applying for the Clem Audin Fund. The Elks members are always very generous with their giving. On behalf of Mountain Valley Developmental Services and the families we serve, thank you for your generosity!Sara Simsdirector, Child & Family Services, MVDSCoach has been an outstanding role modelRecently, my son has had the honor of being on a baseball team with an outstanding coach. His attitude toward the boys (ages 8-10) was always respectful and kind. If one of the boys was having a bad time at pitching, catching or batting he would encourage him with a positive word. The boys fell in love with the game of baseball due to the fun and skills that this coach taught them. Not only is he a great coach for this age but an awesome role model. This coach is only 18 years old and has showed our boys how to be part of the community. We can’t thank you enough for all you have done for our boys. Thank you, Adam Durham, for helping the kids see that being a teenager is not about tattoos and gangs, but sharing yourself with others. You are an incredible coach and person. Thank you, Adam Durham!Scott R. PattersonCarbondale
