Holiday Happenings
A Grand Holiday, filled with spectacular lighting displays, holiday decorations, Santa and his reindeer, refreshments and holiday shopping, will take place from 4-7 p.m. Dec. 13 at Centennial Park in downtown Glenwood Springs. It is sponsored by the Downtown Business Association, Garfield County and the city of Glenwood Springs.
Delicious homemade soups and chili will be available for purchase. Participants can roast marshmallows and make s’mores. The Mountain Harmony carolers will sing in the park before their traditional stroll through downtown, entertaining shoppers and diners. The winner of the 2007 Window Display Contest will be announced at the event.

Rivers restaurant is open from 2-8 p.m. Thanksgiving day, offering the regular menu along with a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings or a traditional ham dinner with all the trimmings, with a choice of pumpkin or pecan pie. Reservations are highly recommended.
