A welcome holiday party will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, with yuletide festivities for the whole family, holiday foods and beverages. Live holiday music and dancing from 7:30-9 p.m.

Sunlight Mountain Inn presents a Rockin’ ’70s Gala in the Trails End Bar with music by DJ Andre. Cocktails (cash bar) will be served starting at 7 p.m., with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a classic New Years’s Eve dinner buffet. A champagne toast, party favors, a balloon drop and midnight buffet will bring in the new year, with special activities for kids.

Linda Rutland will guide labyrinth walkers at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at Schermer Hall, Anderson Ranch Arts Center. The labyrinth will be open for self-guided walks from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Dec. 31.

Rifle Fireside Lanes is offering an alcohol-free New Year’s Eve party from 9 p.m. to midnight Dec. 31. A bowling and buffet package is offered. Call 625-2231 for reservations.

The Toast of the Top at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park originally scheduled for New Year’s Eve, has been cancelled so employees can spend the evening with their families.

Bring in the new year with a soak in the mineral rich thermal waters along with your favorite companions. This annual tradition on Dec. 31 has grown in popularity over the years and is a fun non-alcoholic event the whole family can enjoy. Noisemakers will be provided to everyone for the big countdown to midnight. There is even a chance to win an annual pool pass.

On New Year’s Eve, the pool and athletic club will extend their hours past the normal 10 p.m. closing, and remain open until 1 a.m.

The Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts is having extended gallery and gift shop hours this holiday weekend. If you’ve been looking for a gift for that special someone, swing by and check out the selection of local arts and crafts. The Center for the Arts offers amazing jewelry, pottery, artwork and crafts that are sure to please. The Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
