This week’s guest column is from Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. *

“I have joined the political arena so that the powerful can no longer beat up on people that cannot defend themselves. Nobody knows the system better than me, which is why I alone can fix it.

“My IQ is one of the highest — and you all know it! Please don’t feel so stupid or insecure; it’s not your fault.”

ON FOREIGN POLICY

“My primary consultant is myself, and I have a good instinct for this stuff.”

I’m speaking with myself, number one, because I have a very good brain and I’ve said a lot of things.”

Vladimir Putin is “running his country, and at least he’s a leader, unlike what we have in this country.”

“When Putin goes out and tells everybody — and you talk about a relationship, but he says Donald Trump is going to win and Donald Trump is a genius, and then I have people saying you should disavow. I said, I’m going to disavow that?”

“He’s not going into Ukraine, OK? Just so you understand. He’s not going to go into Ukraine, all right? You can mark it down and you can put it down, you can take it anywhere you want. …

“OK, well, he’s there in a certain way, but I’m not there yet. You have Obama there. And frankly, that whole part of the world is a mess under Obama, with all the strength that you’re talking about and all of the power of NATO and all of this, in the meantime, he’s going where — he takes — takes Crimea …

“But, you know, the people of Crimea, from what I’ve heard, would rather be with Russia than where they were. And you have to look at that, also.”

“I would bring back waterboarding, and I’d bring back a hell of a lot worse than waterboarding.”

PREVIOUS GOP NOMINEES

John McCain, “He’s not a war hero. He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

“I haven’t endorsed John McCain. I’ve never been there with John McCain because I’ve always felt that he should have done a much better job for the vets.”

Mitt Romney, “I called him a choke artist, and it’s true.”

In 2012, “I could have said, ‘Mitt, drop to your knees,’ and he would have.”

MEXICO AND MEXICANS

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. … They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

“Nobody builds walls better than me. … I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.”

Judge Gonzalo Curiel “has been extremely hostile to me. I think it has to do with perhaps the fact that I’m very, very strong on the border. … And he has been extremely hostile to me. This is a case that in our opinion should have been won a long time ago. … we have a very hostile judge. Now, he is Hispanic, I believe.”

WOMEN

“You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young, and beautiful, piece of ass.”

“All of the women on ‘The Apprentice’ flirted with me — consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected.”

“I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”

“I think the only difference between me and the other candidates is that I’m more honest and my women are more beautiful.”

THE KAHNS

“He was, you know, very emotional and probably looked like a nice guy to me. His wife, if you look at his wife, she was standing there. She had nothing to say. She probably, maybe she wasn’t allowed to have anything to say. You tell me.”

“While I feel deeply for the loss of his son, Mr. Khan who has never met me, has no right to stand in front of millions of people and claim I have never read the Constitution, (which is false) and say many other inaccurate things.”

SACRIFICES

“I think I’ve made a lot of sacrifices. I work very, very hard. I’ve created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures. I’ve done, I’ve had tremendous success. I think I’ve done a lot.”

“I always wanted to get the Purple Heart. This was much easier” getting a copy of one from a veteran.

GOOD OLD DAYS

“In the good old days, this doesn’t happen because they used to treat them very, very rough. And when they protested once, you know, they would not do it again so easily.”

“I love the old days. You know what they used to do to guys like that when they were in a place like this? They’d be carried out on a stretcher, folks. It’s true. … I’d like to punch him in the face, I’ll tell you.”

* Trump didn’t really write this, but he provided the words.
