Are you interested in joining a fun club? Join Commuter Club. The cities of Glenwood Springs and Aspen would like to invite you to join our club and be rewarded for using alternative transportation. Commuter Club is an incentive-based alternative transportation program designed for commuters who ride the bus, carpool, walk or bike to work throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. If you regularly use alternative transportation to get around the valley, you should join Commuter Club and get rewarded for your commute habits. Those interested in changing the way you commute, saving money on transportation costs or preserving our quality of life are encouraged to join. We can match you with other carpoolers, or find you a bus buddy to help with your first trip. If you are interested in being a part of the solution to our congestion problems, then Commuter Club is for you.

As a Commuter Club member, you will receive an e-mail each month containing our monthly newsletter that includes the latest transportation information as well as updates on special events and the latest prize winners. You will also be eligible for monthly prizes and the chance to be named Commuter of the Quarter or Commuter of the Year. Each month, at least four club members will receive a great prize. Two members will receive a great prize quarterly, and the Commuter of the Year will receive the grand prize. Last month, Christine Hirsch and Biege Jones won the 2007 Commuters of the Year awards. Both Christine and Biege won a $250 travel package and a $50 visa card. Congratulations to both of you. Also, as a club member, you will receive e-mail alerts from time to time from Commuter Club regarding important traffic or construction information and local events such as Bus Rider and Carpool Appreciation Day, Bike to Work Day, Trails Day and other special events happening in the Roaring Fork Valley.

Be rewarded for using alternative transportation. All you have to do is be a member. It’s that easy, and best of all, it’s free. Join today at our new website at http://www.communitiesinmotion.net. New members will receive a welcome packet in the mail including information on transportation, membership gifts and a membership card that qualifies members to get special discounts and deals when presented at Commuter Club events throughout the valley.
