Letter: 112 too extreme

As one of the nearly 100,000 Coloradans directly employed by our state’s oil-and-gas industry, I am asking my neighbors to vote “no” on Proposition 112.

Proposition 112 is far too extreme for Colorado. It will cost our state as much as $1 billion in annual tax revenue — money that is used to help schools and first responders — and will trigger tens of thousands of job layoffs across a number of industries, including oil-and-gas, construction, manufacturing and retail.

Together, we can help protect Colorado from special interest groups that put their own agendas ahead of the well-being of our great state.
