Letter: Election sign vandalism

Be vigilant about our First Amendment rights.

For the third time this election season, we woke up one day this week to find our election yard signs partially destroyed, removed and scattered about.

It is highly disturbing to witness what happening to our country this election, but I never thought this would happen in our community.

Having great appreciation for my rights and duty as citizen to actively participate in our democratic process I am outraged when my free speech is violated in this way.

I am a strong believer in the dictum ascribed to Patrick Henry: “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”
