Letter: Empathy and apathy
This is a response to a letter in the Post Independent on June 11 from Barbara Palmer. Yes, Barbara, it is quite refreshing for any institution these days to show any sense of empathy and compassion in the form of customer service or patient care.
I’ve been saying for years that all the problems of the world would be nonexistent if by some miracle waste, greed, overindulgence and apathy could be universally banned from society. I would be happier than a hog in mud to just banish ignorance and apathy. Oh, wait, that’s heaven. Guess we’ll just have to keep praying.
