Letter: Flag retirement set in Rifle

John Scalzo
Rifle

The Rifle American Legion Post No. 78 and Rifle Boy Scout Troops 223 and 221 will be retiring old American flags at 2 p.m. June 14, which is Flag Day.

The ceremony will take place at the West Garfield County Memorial. You may drop off worn-out flags at the Rifle fire station or bring them to the event that day. That would give you a chance see to how flags are properly retired, which is well worth your time.

For more information call John Scalzo at 970-625-1842 or Scoutmaster Larry Cole at 970-618-1754.
