Letter: Future history

The Glenwood Springs Historical Society would like to thank all those people who attended our recent “Vision to Action” sessions in the Loft at the Hotel Denver.

Special thanks go to April and Steve Carver and their staff for hosting us at the Hotel Denver, the Elks Lodge for preparing the food and Clayton Collier, senior vice president of the Bank of Colorado, for underwriting the food.

The support of the community and the information we gleaned are greatly appreciated. The future course we chart will be informed by this input as we move into an exciting time in Glenwood Springs’ history.

Over 75 percent of the 1,000-plus people who participated in our initial survey believe history is an important component of tourism and a healthy community. This shows how much support there is for our commitment that it’s about time to showcase the incredible history we have been entrusted with since our founding.

We look forward to continued contact with the community as we move forward.

executive director, Glenwood Springs Historical Society
