Letter: Gibson is the best choice for Glenwood
Erika Gibson is the best choice for Glenwood Springs City Council. She is an intelligent, well spoken, analytical thinker who knows the issues in Glenwood Springs and brings a fresh, young perspective to complement the makeup of the current council. Erika is a dedicated, hard-working attorney in the west slope water community and serves on the Glenwood Springs River Commission. Her prior experience includes volunteering on farms, working on salmon restoration projects, three years at the Colorado Governor’s Energy Office assisting rural and mountain communities, and as an intern working for the president pro tem of the Oregon State Senate and for the majority leader of the U.S. Senate, all of which provided Erika relevant knowledge and solid decision-making skills.
I know Erika as a colleague in the water profession and have worked with her as well as with attorneys opposing her clients. Her integrity, professionalism and friendly demeanor are key to reaching common ground in adversarial situations.
Erika lives the issues that face Glenwood Springs including affordable housing, traffic, roads, recreation, development, business and tourism. I work, play and spend money in Glenwood Springs and know the issues, which have not changed much in the 27 years I have lived in the area.
I urge you to support a fresh perspective that is clearly the best choice for Glenwood. Vote for the candidate passionate about making Glenwood Springs a better place to live, work and play. Vote for Erika Gibson.
