Letter: Good officers
Many thanks and much praise to our Garfield County Sheriff’s Office. Mine was one of the first cars stopped on Interstate 70 east because of the fire near the Rifle airport on May 25.
The sheriff’s officers came to each vehicle explaining what was happening and assuring us they would get us turned around and on our way. They then came to the cars again and very ably directed us all in a very orderly and calm way and indeed did get us all turned around.
As always, I am thankful to be blessed with living in this wonderful community.
