Letter: Gratitude for firefighters

I would like to thank every Hot Shot firefighter who happened to be in Rifle last week — and happened to save my house in Rulison when a fire broke out due to dry lightning. It was 101 degrees that day, and you fine people were there working your butts off to save us and all of our neighbors. Thank you so much from my family and my pets. You all have the hardest job in the world, but yet you do it willingly. You are amazing.
