Letter: Honorable leaks
Love Roland McLean’s: “Somehow the leaking of classified materials has become acceptable. It seems to be viewed by the press as a form of whistleblowing.”
Who are these whistleblowers? Several more infamous, are cited as guilty; not all are. When one gives up their job and accepts no money, and reflects the national interest, the term “whistleblower” would apply. Despite Oliver Stone’s track record, check out the movie “Snowden.”
Also consider the fact that we wouldn’t have any knowledge of “rogue intelligence” if it weren’t for whistleblowers and the media. We would all be prisoners of the criminal actions of Big Brother.
Enlightenment pulls away the cloak of ignorance. The best part is, it’s free, from those who’ve scarified their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor.
